Supercraft's Story
Supercraft's conception began in 2023 when Tyler was trying to rebrand Custom Aviation into a 21st-century aircraft maintenance organisation. After considering over 20 name ideas and brand designs, we landed on our namesake.
Meet the team
Tyler Bouman
Managing Director
Part 66 LAME
Tyler's aviation career began in the RNZAF back in 2012. He started on Seasprite helicopters in Auckland and worked his way up to the A109 and NH90 helicopters in Ohakea, where he achieved his Part 66 License. Afterward, he spent time at Helicraft and took a brief detour working for a fencing company in Wanaka, followed by a role at Strike Drilling in Perth, Australia. Tyler joined Custom Aviation just after the first COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, eventually progressing to full ownership of the company. He draws on his diverse experiences outside of aviation to deliver realistic results.
Scout Bouman
"Managing Director" (According to the Resene Rep.)
Chief Lunch Inspector
Scout's aviation career began in 2022. He has been coming to Supercraft with Tyler since he was just three months old, keeping Tyler company and stealing many of our business neighbours' sandwiches. Scout has an essential duty at Supercraft - keeping the riffraff out.
